Appointment to Film Finance Corporation Australia Board

The Minister for the Arts and Sport, Senator Rod Kemp, has appointed the Sydney-based producer, Sandra Gross, as a Director on the Film Finance Corporation Australia (FFC) Board, for a three-year term.

“The Film Finance Corporation plays a crucial role in supporting film and television production in Australia and Ms Gross’ expertise and experience will greatly assist its activities,” Senator Kemp said.

Ms Gross is a co-owner and Managing Director of Yoram Gross – EM TV- producers of children’s and family entertainment. She has been involved in the Australian children’s animation industry for more than 30 years.

She was an Executive Producer on children’s films such as Dot and the Kangaroo, and television productions, Blinky Bill, Flipper and Lopaka, Skippy – Adventures in Bushtown and Tabaluga.

Yoram Gross – EM TV productions have been screened in more than 80 countries worldwide.

The FFC is the Australian Government’s principal agency for funding the production of film and television in Australia.

The Government supports film and television production to ensure that Australians have the opportunity to make and watch their own screen stories.

Since its establishment the FFC has invested in 942 projects with a total production value of $2.2 billion.
