Reappointment to Film Australia Board

The Minister for the Arts and Sport, Senator Rod Kemp, today announced the three-year reappointment of Ms Susan Murray to the Board of Film Australia.

'Ms Murray's industry experience continues to be a great contribution to Film Australia. Her strong marketing and promotion skills assist the Board at both a national and international level.'

Ms Murray has more than 27 years experience within the film and television industry ranging from marketing and promotion to public sector administration.

She is currently an executive producer and company director of Fandango Australia Pty Ltd-a feature film production company. Previously she was a freelance consultant to the NZ Film Commission, an acquisition consultant for Fine Line Features (AOL Time Warners US Distribution Co) and director of marketing for the Australian Film Commission.

Film Australia is an Australian Government-owned production and distribution company with a mission to create an audio-visual record of Australian life.

It is one of the nation's largest producers of television documentaries and educational programs and also supports the independent documentary production sector through the provision of facilities and services.
