Resignation of Telstra CEO—Dr Ziggy Switkowski
The Government was advised this morning that Telstra CEO Dr Ziggy Switkowski has decided to step down from his position by 1 July 2005.
This is a decision that has been reached by Dr Switkowski in consultation with the Telstra Board.
Dr Switkowski has managed a large and complex company through some challenging times and we thank him for the leadership he has shown during his tenure as CEO of Telstra.
The Government looks forward to continuing our effective relationship with Dr Switkowski until July 2005 or until a suitable replacement is found.
