Oscar for Great Australian Storyteller, George Miller
Minister for the Arts and Sport, Senator George Brandis today congratulated George Miller on his Academy Award for the hit movie, ‘Happy Feet'.
George Miller received the Academy Award for the Best Animated Feature of the Year.
Senator Brandis said ‘Happy Feet' was considered by some as the underdog going into the Awards, with much speculation about ‘Cars' picking up the award.
“I know George Miller has said he wasn't expecting to win, but I certainly haven't heard anyone say he didn't deserve to win,” Senator Brandis said.
